Family usually serves as the most important place to develop individual and social lives. This, however, has been changed substantially in recent decades. The present study aims to investigate how abnormal families are shaped from the view point of women confronting divorce.
The analysis is based on qualitative method and the research sample includes 33 women who have already applied for divorce in Yazd city. According to the results of this analysis, such factors as inappropriate supervision, the lack of family support, parental conflict and violence, poverty, marital violence, addiction and divorce play key role in shaping an abnormal family
