The key research question considered in this analysis is how the attitudes towards the Islamic life style are affected by the power structure in the family. This study has been conducted in Gorgan City and the sample includes 400 individuals aged 15 years old and over. In this study, attitudes towards the Islamic life style consist of three major aspects: cognitive, emotional and behavioural aspects. According to the results of this study, two main patterns can be addressed. First, the attitudes towards the Islamic life style are not significantly associated with the distribution of power in the family. Second, the way of exercising power in the family has a significantly positive effect on the attitudes towards the Islamic life style.
