Socio-Economic Determinants of Leisure-Time Characteristics among Women: The Case of Married Working Women in Norabad Mamasani

Abstract

This article focuses on leisure-time characteristics and examines the patterns and determinants related to spending leisure time among married women. The field of this study is Norabad Mamasani and the sample includes 201 employed women. This study has explored that five determinants have the greatest effects on spending leisure time among women: cultural facilities, education, income, number of children, and husband’s occupation. Moreover, the results show that the lack of sufficient available time is the most important barrier for spending leisure time among women included in this study.
