نهادسازی متصلب و انقطاع سنت مردم‌شناسی: تاریخ گفتمانی مردم‌شناسی در ایران از قرن چهارم هجری تا انقلاب مشروطه

چکیده

اهداف: این مقاله به بررسی تاریخ گفتمانی مردم‌شناسی در ایران، با تمرکز بر دو دورۀ کلیدی قرن چهارم هجری (۹۷۳ میلادی) و انقلاب مشروطه (۱۹۰۵-۱۹۱۱ میلادی) می‌پردازد. این دو دوره به‌عنوان «دور‌ه‌های بازگشت به خویشتن ایرانی»، نقاط عطفی در شکل‌گیری و تحول اندیشه مردم‌شناختی در ایران محسوب می‌شوند. روش مطالعه: در این مقاله روش مطالعه، تحلیل منابع گفتمانی موجود در بستر شکل‌گیری گفتمان مردم‌شناسی است. یافته‌ها: نوشتار حاضر نشان می‌دهد که ریشه‌های مردم‌شناسی در ایران به دورۀ پیشامدرن و پژوهش‌‌های ابوریحان بیرونی بازمی‌گردد. بیرونی با رویکرد تجربی، مشاهده‌ای و تطبیقی خود در مطالعۀ فرهنگ‌ها، به‌ویژه در «تحقیق ماللهند»، پایه‌های یک پارادایم مردم‌شناختی بومی را بنا نهاد. این دوره شاهد احیای هویت ایرانی و غنای فکری ناشی از «فضای چندصدایی» بود که توسط اندیشمندانی چون فردوسی، ابن‌سینا و عمر خیام نیز تقویت شد و سلسله‌هایی مانند سامانیان نیز از آن حمایت کردند. نتیجه‌گیری: با ظهور محمد غزالی و غلبۀ رویکرد فقهی و الهیاتی تک‌صدای او و پیوند آن با ساختار سیاسی قدرت، این پارادایم مردم‌شناختی دچار توقف، سکون و سکوت طولانی شد. غزالی با نفی فلسفه و علوم عقلی، به «تک‌صدایی» دامن زد و تأثیر عمیقی بر دگردیسی اندیشۀ ایرانی به سمت پارادایم عرفانی/حکمی به‌عنوان پارادایم انتقادی جایگزین، استعاری و استعلایی داشت. این سکوت تا عصر معاصر ادامه یافت. انقلاب مشروطه به‌عنوان دومین نقطه عطف، شاهد «تولد دوباره پارادایم مردم‌شناختی» و بازگشت به هویت باستانی و فضای گفتمانی چندصدایی بود. ظهور ژانرهای جدید ادبی و رمان‌گونگی (رمانی شدن) فرهنگ در آثار روشنفکران این دوره، به «مردم‌شناسی روشنفکرانه» و نهادینه‌شدن اولیۀ این رشته منجر شد. این مقاله در­نهایت به تقابل تک‌صدایی‌ها در عصر معاصر، مانند رویکرد احمد کسروی و نواب صفوی و تداوم مردم‌شناسی روشنفکرانه اشاره می‌کند؛ جدال مداومی که میان گفتمان‌های چندصدایی و تک‌صدایی، ویژگی اصلی تاریخ مردم‌شناسی در ایران است. روش این مقالۀ پژوهشی، تحلیل گفتمانی آثار و منابع تاریخی و گفتمانی در بازه زمانی مورد تحقیق است.

Objectives: This study explores the discursive history of anthropology in Iran, focusing on two pivotal periods: the 4th century AH (973 CE) and the Constitutional Revolution (1905-1911 CE). These eras, marked as “periods of return to the Iranian self,” represent crucial turning points in the development of anthropological thought in Iran. Methods: The presenr research employs the discourse analysis method within the context and framework of historical-social dynamics. Results: The research demonstrates that the roots of anthropology in Iran extend back to the pre-modern era and the scholarly activities of Abu Rayhan Biruni. Biruni, through his empirical, observational, and comparative approach to cultural studies, particularly in his work “Kitāb Taḥqīq mā li-l-Hind” (An Enquiry into India), laid the foundations for an indigenous anthropological paradigm. This period witnessed a revival of Iranian identity and intellectual richness stemming from a “polyphonic space,” reinforced by thinkers like Ferdowsi, Ibn Sina, and Omar Khayyam, and supported by dynasties such as the Samanids. Conclusion: With the advent of Muhammad al-Ghazali and the dominance of his jurisprudential and theological approach, this anthropological paradigm entered a “long silence.” Al-Ghazali, by negating philosophy and rational sciences, promoted a “monoglossia” that profoundly influenced the transformation of Iranian thought towards a mystical/theosophical paradigm. This silence persisted until the modern era. The Constitutional Revolution emerged as the second turning point, witnessing the “rebirth of the anthropological paradigm” and a return to ancient Iranian identity and a «new discursive and intercultural space.” The emergence of new literary genres and the «novelization of Iranian culture” in the works of intellectuals like Dehkhoda, Jamalzadeh, and Hedayat contributed significantly to “intellectual anthropology” and the initial institutionalization of the discipline. The study concludes by discussing the clash of “monoglossias” in the contemporary era, such as the approach of Ahmad Kasravi, and the continuation of “intellectual anthropology.” This ongoing struggle between polyphonic and monophonic discourses characterizes the history of anthropology in Iran.
